Property & Casualty Business Analyst

The Property & Casualty Business Analyst delivers hands-on business analysis for insurance platforms, with strong focus on Duck Creek. The role drives requirements from discovery to implementation, supports transformation initiatives, and works closely with business, vendors, and technical teams to ensure alignment and quality delivery.
Experience & Skills
- 8 years total; 6+ years P&C business analysis
- Strong P&C Commercial Lines experience
- Duck Creek Policy knowledge
- Understanding of rating, forms, user admin, day-2 transactions, batch processes
- Process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
- SQL, Agile/Scrum, ACORD/XML
- Preferred: AINS/CPCU, CBAP, Duck Creek Billing/Claims/Data Insights/Producer/DMS
Key Responsibilities
- Write Epics, Features, User Stories; conduct workshops; perform gap analysis
- Maintain and prioritize product backlogs
- Own requirements and ensure full traceability
- Lead UAT, validate rating logic, and verify underwriting rules
- Review functional designs and integration points
- Manage UAT strategy, defect triage, cutover, and readiness
- Document processes and support automation initiatives

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
