Job Title: E-Commerce Solutions Lead Engineer Location: Plymouth Massachusetts Experience: 12 Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Description We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Solutions Lead Engineer to guide the design development and implementation of scalable e-commerce platforms and digital commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in enterprise-level commerce systems integration architecture cloud environments and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders product teams developers and vendors to ensure seamless online customer experience and technology enablement. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end architecture design development and deployment of enterprise e-commerce solutions. Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints. Plan and implement enhancements upgrades and modernization strategies for e-commerce platforms. Oversee and guide development efforts ensuring alignment with best practices security standards and performance targets. Integrate e-commerce platforms with ERP CRM payment gateways logistics and third-party vendor systems. Manage system performance scalability reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and review code architecture decisions and solution design. Support production environments by leading troubleshooting root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues. Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure automated testing CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment efficiency. Maintain detailed documentation including solution designs technical specifications and operational processes. Required Skills and Qualifications 12 years of experience in software engineering with at least 6 years focused on enterprise-level e-commerce platforms. Strong hands-on expertise with major e-commerce solutions such as Magento Shopify Plus Salesforce Commerce Cloud SAP Commerce (Hybris) or similar enterprise frameworks. Proven experience integrating payment gateways inventory systems CRM ERP and logistics APIs. Solid understanding of microservices architecture scalable distributed systems and cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP. Strong proficiency in web technologies including JavaScript React or similar frameworks. Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with DevOps processes CI/CD pipelines containerization (Docker Kubernetes). Excellent understanding of security standards related to e-commerce including PCI compliance and data protection. Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and guiding technical decision-making.
