Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Behavior Assistant to join our Junior Explorers preschool team, working with 3-5 year olds! In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with a child who needs extra support to engage in daily routines and activities. You’ll help create a positive, inclusive classroom experience that allows every child to thrive.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is interested in early childhood education, behavioral support, or special education.Your Role Will Include:Support one preschool-aged child in daily classroom activities and transitions.Provide gentle guidance and supervision during structured and unstructured play.Model and reinforce positive behavior and social skills.Collaborate with the lead teacher and classroom team to promote a nurturing, safe environment.Assist with creating an engaging and inclusive learning experience for all children.Qualifications:Background in early childhood or classroom support. (Preferred)Experience working with young children, especially those with special needs or behavioral challenges.Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.A friendly, patient, and compassionate personality.Reliability, professionalism, and confidentiality.Physical requirements, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Salary and Benefits:Starting at $21.94/hour.Medical & Dental Benefits Eligible.Location & Shift Times: Minnetonka Community Education Center (MCEC).FT, Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–5:30 PM.You’ll be part of a fun, collaborative team that believes in the power of play, patience, and positivity.
