Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryThe Cook prepares and serves breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks daily to 90 children and 20 staff. The Cook is responsible for food safety, organization, cleanliness, inventory, and maintenance of kitchen.The Cook works closely with other staff to best meet the children's needs.DutiesPrepare meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines and food restrictions.Clean up after each meal.Maintain hygiene and safety of kitchen in according with local and state licensing requirements.Order food and related supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Requirements1 - 2 years of professional experience in food service; preferably in child care or institutional setting.Basic math skills for measuring and portioning.Must clear full background check. Must pass health screening.
