Early Childhood Cross-School Regional Substitute Teacher The Intro Part Hello! My name is Bethanne and Im the Area Manager for Thrive a group of play-based learning preschools located in the greater Denver Colorado area. Were looking for enthusiastic explorative ECE Lead Substitute teachers that are interested in working across multiple schools in the Denver metro area to join our team! We currently have four locations and as we continue to grow as an organization our desire is to build a team of educators that can grow with us and expand into new roles experiencing both professional and personal growth. The How Much Will I Make & How Many Hours Will I Work Part (aka the First Thing You Are Probably Reading Part) We are looking to hire substitute teachers for an hourly position starting at $22.41 $24.65 per hour based on your qualifications. Were looking for teachers for this role who can flexibly support multiple of our schools in the Denver Metro area and are hoping to work 20 hours per week. This position requires Colorado State lead early childhood teacher qualifications (Colorado Shines PDIS 3.0 Level II or higher). The Are We a Great Fit Part Compatibility means everything to us. Just to make sure were on the same page lets start with the basics: A positive attitude and passion for working with young children families and co-teachersStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to be flexible in which school you workIntentional and reflective in professional practicesMeets or exceeds minimum qualifications for employment as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher in the state of Colorado including training experience and background check requirementsExperience as a lead teacher at a large child care center in the state of Colorado And here are some of the philosophies and lifestyle choices we share with our educators that make Thrive a special place to learn and grow: A love of nature and spending time outdoors in all weatherDedication to play-based learningExperience training and/or knowledge of Reggio Emilia educational practices and philosophiesA special talent skill or hobby (artistic multi-lingual play an instrument sing puppetry storytelling woodworking knitting cooking gardening etc.) that you would enjoy sharing with the children and fellow teachers. We take the play part very seriously. The Responsibilities Part As a substitute teacher you will work closely with the Area Manager (thats me Bethanne!) and the rest of our incredible administration teaching and support staff. Your responsibilities to the children will be Assist the lead teachers in implementation of inquiry-based curriculum documentation and work projects of children in accordance with our guiding educational philosophy. Cultivate a learning environment that nurtures intellectual physical social emotional and character development and is responsive to the diverse needs and learning styles of all children. Enforce classroom rules for behavior and procedures to maintain safety and order Conduct ongoing observation assessment and documentation of students learning experiences Your responsibilities to the parents will be Support families as partners in their childs learning by: maintaining an open friendly and cooperative relationship with each child and family; responding to child and family needs in a timely manner; creating opportunities for family involvement in the classroom; and encouraging family participation. Your responsibilities to the schools and your fellow educators will be Schedule with the Area Manager when and where youre needed across our different schools. Attend all training opportunities and staff meetings as provided and scheduled.
