Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryThe Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.DutiesJoin our vibrant early childhood education team as an Early Childhood Educator dedicated to nurturing and inspiring 3-4-year-old children. In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will empower young learners to explore their world confidently while supporting their individual developmental needs through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care.DutiesDevelop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of 3-4-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.Design engaging lesson plans that foster creativity, critical thinking, and social skills while aligning with early childhood education standards.Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior management, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all children.Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to facilitate their learning and social integration.Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments.Collaborate with families through clear communication about child welfare, developmental milestones, and classroom experiences.Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages independence, safety, and active participation in learning activities.RequirementsPrior experience working with children aged 3-4 years in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is essential.Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.Familiarity with childhood development principles, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods.Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.Previous classroom experience in toddler care or preschool environments enhances your ability to create nurturing learning spaces that support diverse learning styles.
