Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs Early Interventionists, we are focused on helping our clients grow their small minds by strengthening cognition, social, emotional, communication, self-help, gross motor, and fine motor skills. Our goal is to provide individualized and high-quality Family Training and Service Coordination services to each child and family! Early Interventionists must ensure children with disabilities or special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.The primary role of the Early Intervention Specialist (EI) is to provide Family Training and Service Coordination services to children and families. The EI conducts intakes with families and professionals and trains parents in their role as partners in education. The EI plans, directs, and manages activities, coordinates efforts to increase parenting education services quality, quantity, and access, and promotes education, training, and involvement in parenting education efforts.Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Child/Human Development; Education: Early Childhood; Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education; Family and Consumer Sciences; Psychology; Public Health; Social Work; Sociology. Must have 1 year of early intervention or teaching experience. Willing to travel 75% of the time.Position ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and provide family training and service coordination to children and families.Handle case assignments, draft service plans, review case progress, and determine case closure.Help clients achieve developmental goalsFacilitate training families as partners in their child’s development and educationWork with providers to ensure children receive the services they need to developDevelop effective working relations and cooperate with team membersArrange resourcesTake the extra mile and interact with families and providers to keep track of children's progress and to ensure the satisfaction of familiesRecord case information, accurately complete all necessary forms, and produce statistical reportsPromote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomesAssess and address motivational and psychosocial issuesAdhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulationsCompany DescriptionFamilyTIES of SC, LLC is devoted to improving the welfare of families through an array of services that promote constructive change through the use of family support, community resources, and awareness.
