Job Summary The Echo Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This role involves operating ultrasound and Doppler equipment, capturing accurate cardiac images, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.Responsibilities:Perform 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow echocardiographic studies in accordance with established protocols.^Acquire, analyze, and document high-quality cardiac images for physician interpretation.^Perform stress echocardiography and contrast studies as required.^Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort during testing.^Review and evaluate the quality and completeness of images; identify any abnormalities or issues requiring additional imaging.^Maintain and calibrate echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.^Document test results accurately and enter data into electronic medical records (EMR).^Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.^Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards (HIPAA).^Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with evolving cardiac imaging technology and best practices.
