As solutions architects systems engineers have the technology and design responsibility for all sales support engagements nationwide.Job DescriptionA Sales Systems Engineer partners closely with customers and the sales team delivering customer-driven world-class leading-edge end-to-end solutions that rise to the communications and situational awareness challenges that our customers face. Working within a team of sales service engineering and technical support resources the Sales Systems Engineer Intern is the overall owner of the solutions technical design ensuring we meet our customers needs. As an engineering intern you will work within the engineering team to deliver customer-driven world-class leading-edge end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges that our customers face.The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of complexity:Motorolas Ecosystem of Products and ServicesPublic safety grade mobile voice and data networksAdvanced mobile devicesPublic safety mobile broadband networks and devicesSoftware applications for mission-critical intelligenceThe typical scope of responsibilities may include the following:Customer requirements discoveryTechnology strategy developmentEnd-to-end system architecture designProposal developmentInternal and external technical presentationsEquipment and software solution demos including configuration and testingThe ideal candidate has the following skills and capabilities:Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related fieldGeneral knowledge of IT network and computer architectureGeneral knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures bothPublic and private (e.g. APCO P25 LTE 802.11 4G/5G) highly desirableA positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative resourceful and deliver resultsStrong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technicaland non-technical audiencesAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWillingness to think outside the box and challenge the status quoAttention to detailLegal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permitsponsorshipis not available for this position.Target Hourly Base Pay Range: $20.00-$30.00 USDConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
