Education Specialist Inclusive Education Cottonwood (11900) at Casa Grande Elementary School District

The job of Education Specialist - Inclusive Education is done for the purpose of improving special education students success in the basic academics; relieving teachers of clerical tasks; and assisting students with special health care needs.Responsibilities:Adapts classroom activities assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacherAdministers testsAssists special education students requiring daily care (e.g. toileting feeding etc.)Attends Individual Education Program meetings wtih assigned student(s)Confers with teachers and/or parents as may be requiredImplements instructional programs and lesson plans (e.g. reading math language comprehension writing computer etc.)Instructs students (individual or small groups) (e.g. reading spelling self esteem behavioral skills daily living skills etc.)Maintains classroom equipment work areas student files/records (e.g. clean up after various class projects entering grades adapting instructional materials audiovisual equipment etc.)Monitors and assists special education students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments (e.g. classrooms rest rooms hallways cafeteria labs field trips on/off buses etc.)Participates in in-service workshops and trainingPerforms record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling copying instructional materials correcting papers compiling list etc.)Picks up and/or delivers homework/assignments to students at homeProvides documentation of students workResponds to emergency situations (e.g. injured students fights etc.)Assists other personnel as may be requiredRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPre-employment proficiency testCriminal Justice/fingerprint clearanceAbility to read write and communicate clearly in EnglishThis is a 10 month School Year position only.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Channel Marketing,ERP Sales,CSSD,Conflict Management,Ethernet,AC Maintenance Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
