The Rodman Early Childhood Programis seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as an Educational Assistantfor the upcoming school year beginning in December 2025. TheEducational Assistantwill join a vibrant and supportive team that places a high priority on collaboration creativity flexibility and commitment to the goals of the District and to our students families and staff.TheRodman Early Childhood Programis an inclusive community for all students and staff and serve over130students ages 3-5 years. The Rodman PreKis elevating the educational experience for our students by cultivating a school culture and climate that promotes academic growth and social emotional learning for every student and ensures high quality teaching and learning through the purposeful design of rigorous and equitable student experiences.In this position the Educational Assistant will beworking 1:1 with a studentto support their needs within the school environment. We are eager to find the next member of our team who collaborates with other educators to create the conditions necessary so that every child experiences the true joy of learning the excitement of achievement areas of passion and an authentic sense of belonging in their school.JOB SUMMARYTo provide instructional and supervisory support to students. When applicable provide support to students following Individual Education Plan (IEP) accommodations and modifications as specified by the supervising teacher Team Chair and Building Principal.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with individual or small groups of students in work assigned by the teacherGuide independent study enrichment and remedial work prepared and assigned by the teacher.Alert the teacher to any problems or special information about the individual student.Assist the teacher in developing strategies for reinforcing or skill development based upon an understanding of individual student needs abilities and interests.Collect informal academic behavioral and social information as requested by the teacher.Collaborate with colleagues.Participate in professional development opportunities and in-service training as required within the work day.Support students in developing life and social skillsPerform other duties or tasks specifically articulated within the collective bargaining agreementQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors Degree preferredTeaching degree preferredRecent experience working with school-age childrenAlternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptableOther requirements as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of SchoolsREPORTS TO: Team Chair; Building Principal and/or Director of Student Services and/or SuperintendentSUPERVISES: Not ApplicableWORK YEAR:182 daysCOMPENSATION:Per the Union E Collective Barginning Agreement to view the contract please click here.If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications of this position or how this would be determined please feel free to reach out to the below contact for this position to discuss your application.
