Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBirch Agency is currently looking for an experienced Sign Language Interpreters for a school based opening for 2025/2026 school year in Fayetteville, NC. This position is full time. You must have a 3.5 or higher EIPA .Relocation Assistance and Sign On Bonus up to 1,500 Pay is based on experience. Job ResponsibilitiesProvide sign language interpretive services as specified in the IEPInterpret information, lectures, discussion, classroom activities, school meetings, training and conferencesPrepare and study subject matter being taught or presented to ensure clear interpretationAdapts interpretations to the varying and diverse needs and abilities of students, and/or teachers, and/or community membersProvides interpretation for various situations, such as assemblies, field trips, meetings, test administration, phone calls, music, extra-curricular activities, and sports eventsInterprets informal conversations with students and staff during unstructured timeParticipate as a team member for planning and reviewing daily activities, attending in-services and information sharing for the purpose of optimizing the staff and student participation in the educational environmentProvide staff with information regarding the interpretation process as well as needs and concerns of individuals who are D/HH for the purpose of creating a positive Deaf friendly climateCollaborate with Teachers of the D/HH, other classroom teachers and other school staff to provide the optimum educational opportunitiesMinimum QualificationsPassed the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of at least 3.5If you are interested please apply or contact:Daniel MercadoBirch Agency | RecruiterSoutheast [email protected]#LI-JB1#promotedPandoLogic.
