At our core we are Advanced Energy powering the future together.POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in executing and facilitating Advanced Energys environmental health and safety program portfolio with the goal of eliminating injuries and incidents preventing property loss and minimizing impact to human health and the environment. Responsible for ensuring employee awareness of programs training and overall compliance.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in planning establishing implementing and maintaining of occupational health safety and environmental programs.Ensure that Advanced Energy complies with applicable federal state and local laws regulations and standards through implementation of safety control measures.Perform hazard assessments including job hazard assessments and audits with business leaders and prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.Assist business partners with reporting incidents and near misses.Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.Steward and facilitate emergency action plans.Utilize EHS data management system (Velocity EHS) for collecting incident hazard inspection chemical SDS and sustainability data.Support procedure writing for Corporate EHS management system (ISO14001 and ISO45001).WORK ENVIRONMENT:Time is divided between office engineering labs and serive/repair environments.Requires sitting standing walking and talking for extended periods of time and lifting up to 35 pounds on occasion. Will be required to work in all environments at AE.Regular travel requiredLocation: Fort Collins ColoradoHours: Hours are flexible; 20-40 hours per weekQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge/proficiency in the following areas:Safety culture developmentEffective communicationElectrical safety and NFPA 70eEmergency responseHazard identification and assessmentsIncident investigationsDetail-orientedSelf-directed with strong organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without formal authorityAbility to locate interpret and implement regulatory requirementsProficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications and other common computer toolsEXPERIENCE:0 - 1 years experience in related fields such as industiral engineering mechanical engineering electrical engineering safety environmental compliance and hazardous waste management.Experience in manufacturing or R&D engineering labs desired.EDUCATION:Graduate with a Bachelors degree in Chemical engineering physical sciences or other engineeringOr current student enrolled in one of the above degree seeking programs.COMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location.
