Job Description

The EHS Manager leads the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs across an assigned retail territory. Emphasis is on OSHA compliance incident prevention behavior-based safety and RCRA compliance related to damaged goods and customer returns. This role functions as an individual contributor with enterprise reach coaching field safety champions and training HR Asset Protection and Store Leadership on policy adherence and reporting while defining requirements guiding implementation and assuring compliance. This role is based at Bass Pro Shops Base Camp in Springfield MO.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Implement and manage safety programs across assigned stores ensuring compliance with corporate standards.Conduct safety audits/inspections identify hazards and drive corrective actions.Lead incident investigations determine root causes and document findings for closure.Ensure OSHA recordkeeping reporting and dashboard maintenance per regulations.Manage RCRA compliance for damaged goods and returns including storage labeling shipment and documentation.Support stormwater management awareness and inspection readiness where applicable.Deliver safety and compliance training for Store Leadership HR and AP.Promote proactive behavior-based safety culture across all retail operations.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors DegreePreferred Degree: Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (if applicable)Certificate(s) or License(s): CSP or CHMM preferred.
