Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies procedures and programs. Ensure strict compliance with all local state and federal environmental health and safety regulations. Conduct regular EHS risk assessments audits and inspections driving corrective and preventive actions. Lead and deliver EHS training initiatives for all employees contractors and visitors. Investigate all EHS incidents accidents and near misses identifying root causes and implementing effective preventative measures. Manage hazardous waste programs chemical inventories and environmental permitting requirements. Foster a proactive safety culture through continuous improvement and employee engagement. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Engineering or a related science/engineering field. 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS roles with at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of federal state and local EHS regulations (OSHA EPA NFPA etc.) and industry best practices. Proven experience developing implementing and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001). Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence and train at all levels of an organization. Professional EHS certification (e.g. CSP CIH CHMM) is highly preferred.
