Overview/ Job ResponsibilitiesOverview/ Job ResponsibilitiesSev1Tech is seeking an EIM Network Architect to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design acquisition and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.In this role the EIM Network Architect will be responsible for the following:Interface with customers to collect and clarify requirementsManage network communications testing installation and support for the MAN/WAN systemMentor and provide guidance to other networking team membersIdentify and diagnose problems affecting network performance using software and hardware toolsProvide recommendations to enhance and improve network performanceTroubleshoot network infrastructure systems as neededPerform system engineering design integration and implementation tasks and activities including coordination of personnel hardware software budget facilities and/or equipmentInterface with vendors when necessary during outages or periods of degraded system performanceEvaluate design document install implement test perform problem isolation and resolution monitor tune and set standards.Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities.Researches evaluates and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies.Utilizes monitoring performance analysis network management software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity.Provides internal consulting technical guidance information and support to application developers computer operations company management and departmental clients. Assists in internal training programs.Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Provide for Tier IV escalation support of USMCs Enterprise Wide Area Network InfrastructureConfigure Cisco network routers and switches for LAN/WAN connectivityDevelop network designs and comprehensive site analysisCisco Firewall design and configurationRoot Cause Analysis supportTroubleshoot diagnose investigate and resolve issues with network connectivity and latencyTroubleshoot multiple MPLS networks in a highly secure environmentMinimum QualificationsActive Top Secret Level ClearanceBachelors degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering Computer Science or Information Systems(BS BA or Associate of Science (AS) shall be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program.)Minimum of 10 years of network architect experience of WAN networkand concepts of a wide area network designing LAN/WANs and network engineering.Experience with Cisco routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to the CCNP level ASRs Generation 2 and 1900-7600 routers Cisco NGFWs and F5 Load BalancersIP experience (to include sub-netting and routing)Riverbed WAN OptimizationBGP experienceEIGRP and OSPF routingCisco DMVPN conceptsSDWAN experienceVirtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)Adept in using troubleshooting and performance management tools such as Cisco Prime Riverbed SteelCentral NetScout Gigamon etc.Available to Travel up to 20 days per year / several week-long tripsOn-site in North Charleston SC / bldg. 198Desired QualificationsCertifications:CCIE strongly preferredExperience with Marine Corps enterprise network designExperience with Marine Corps Cyberspace environmentExperience with Navy & Marine Corps systems engineering processesAbout Sev1Tech LLCWelcome to Sev1Tech!
