If you are an EIT in Charlotte Minneapolis or Rochester that aligns with our values we would love for you to continue reading and apply.What You Will Do:Perform bridge design and other structural design for a wide variety of clients including cities counties state and private entitiesWork under Professional Engineers to provide our clients with efficient designs focused on qualityPerform structural calculations for both new and existing structures to work with engineering technicians in the development of engineering drawingsDevelop project specifications and special provisions to participate in structural inspections and to write reports regarding the inspection and evaluation of existing facilitiesProvide structural design and analysis for bridges retaining walls buildings and other vertical structures and hydraulic structures such as clarifiers tanks dam and weirsPerform work under the direct supervision of Professional Engineers and independentlyWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school. A Masters of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred but not requiredFundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date to maintain employment1-2 years of experience in Bridge DesignCoursework research or internship experience in bridge and related structural design is highly preferredFamiliar with LRFD design procedures be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel to perform basic calculations and possess basic drawing skills in either Microstation or AutoCADExcellent technical communication and organizational skills are requiredWillingness to ask questions and an eagerness to learn from more experienced engineers and techniciansAbility to work 40 hours a weekAbility to work in posted locationsWork is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment occasional travel or field visits may be required to supportWho We Are:WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in Transportation Community Planning Environmental Energy Municipal and Construction services.
