This is a full-time position with the opportunity to gain long-term employment with a reputable local company in Baton Rouge, LA!FULL-TIME | MON-FRI | 7AM-3:45AM (MIN 40 HOURS/WEEK) *Willing to offer a relocation bonus/assistance for candidates located outside LA! $26-$38/HR BOE Perm Job Benefits: Qrtly Bonus pay, Health, Dental and Vision Insurance. 401K, PTO. JOB DUTIES:Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.Repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment, using hand tools and power tools.Test electrical systems & continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices to ensure compatibility & safety of system. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, Apparatus, & components using test equipment & hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown & correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components. Perform other duties/projects as designated by supervisor and parameters are indicative to average requirements that are not inclusive based on change in operational, safety, or environmental factors.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 8-10 years experience with electrical motors. Must have an in depth understanding of vertical, horizontal, and sleeve bearing motors.Must know how to meg motors, precision balance rotors, and proper handling of new motor bearings.
