Position SummaryThis position will participate in the assembly installation manufacture and preparation of electrical components instrumentation raceways and cabling by PROENERGY for the electric power generation transmission and distribution industry.Reports To:Fabrication ManagerWork Location: 6246 McHard Road Houston TX 77053Position ResponsibilitiesInstall and perform terminations on all associated electrical/electronic components in accordance with applicable codeInstall new electrical raceways including conduits and cable traysPerform point to point quality check of systems before initial power upPerform calibrations of instrumentation via use of pressure pumps and other calibration equipmentPerform cable and instrument checks using meggers digital multimeters CT analyzers etc.Troubleshoot and repair electrical problemsHelp other disciplines (instrumentation mechanical operations etc.) as priority demandsPerforms work in a safe manner and observes all safety proceduresUses all tools equipment and materials responsibly and performs basic inspection and preventive maintenance prior to usePerforms work in compliance with applicable codes standards safety and environment regulations.Perform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum high school diploma or GED or relevant work experience in lieu of education.Must be hands on with good build organizational capabilityMust be a team playerBasic hand tool experience required which includes drilling tapping assembly of mechanical drive systems and mechanical sub-assembliesUnderstanding of basic electrical and electronic devices and their associated schematic symbolsTechnical competence (understanding of Computers software hardware networks etc.)High regard for safetyU.S. work authorization is a precondition of employment.
