Job Description
Electrical ApprenticePurpose: As an apprentice electrician you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. While working under the guidance of journeyman electricians you will learn to install modify inspect repair and maintain electrical fixtures in electrical systems according to applicable building code. The purpose of your apprenticeship is to earn your journeyman license so you can then teach apprentice electricians the trade. Responsibilities:Learn to identify electrical and safety problemsTake necessary corrective action to fix electrical and safety problemsLearn to read blueprintsComplete quality control sheetsManage multiple projects simultaneously Attend apprentice school one night per week until journeyman license is earned (Arkansas employees are required to attend our in-house Electrical Apprenticeship school)Learn from and take instruction from supervisorsLearn and perform necessary tasks from all phases of electrical Qualifications: Leadership skills and the ability to empower individuals on your team Ability to produce quality workExcellent communication skills to be used when working with builders general contractors and project managers Knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and proceduresAbility to follow directions High school diploma or equivalentValid drivers licenseStrong work ethic that you display daily Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday *Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
