Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $80,000–$90,000OverviewStart (or grow) your career in construction procurement. You’ll learn the electrical buy-out process end-to-end while supporting an experienced buyer in the South Hill office. Ideal for a stable, local hire with high upside and a hands-on, detail-driven mindset.What You’ll DoSupport RFQs, bid tabs, and PO creation for common electrical commodities (pipe, wire, conduit, gear, lighting, power distribution).Maintain procurement logs, delivery schedules, and submittal status; update trackers and reports.Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, releases, and expediting; assist with discrepancies and returns.Partner with PMs/field teams to align deliveries with install sequences; escalate risks early.Learn plan/spec reading, material takeoffs, and job-cost alignment under mentorship.Requirements0–2 years in construction, distribution, or an electrical apprenticeship (trainable candidates encouraged to apply).Clear communication, strong follow-through, and spreadsheet/ERP comfort.Curiosity, ownership, and the drive to learn fast in a process-rich environment.In-office presence in South Hill, VA; team-oriented with long-term growth ambitions.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
