Division Overview:Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division. Location: Olympia Position Overview:The Electrical Supervisor works closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished product and support daily productions activities. This is a supervisory position, which would include the daily supervision of plant electricians as well as the management of plant construction, modifications, appropriations and equipment installation. Duties And Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, the Electrical Supervisors responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial plant settingOversees assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principlesDiagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective actionDevelops diagrams, drawings and specifications for modifications or expansions and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance dutiesPlans, directs and records periodic testing; recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment as neededDirects, coordinates, develops, trains, coaches and assesses employeesSupports and encourages employees to work safely, efficiently and effectivelyPerforms other job-related duties as required or assignedQualifications:In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s level new graduate in Engineering or equivalent discipline with two or more related co-op or internship work assignment in a manufacturing setting would be an alternate for the 5-7 years of work experience. Three to five years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environmentAt least two years of proven supervisory experience Working knowledge of motor controls, VFD’s, and DC drives.Installation, set-up and programming of PLC’s Ability to design, modify and plot using AutoCAD software Process control systems – set-up and program applications (Honeywell) Instrumentation and calibration knowledgeFacility power distribution Knowledge of building facilities (compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating and cooling)Knowledge of control systems and sub-systemsMust be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional supportApproximately 5% overnight travel Preferred RequirementsPackaging industry experienceElectrical Journeyman’s certificationGreen or black belt certification in Six Sigma CompetenciesAbility to work independently or with a teamStrong problem-solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approachStrong people and teamwork skills. Candidate should be able to demonstrate and articulate relevant experience in collaboration and team support.Must be able to look at new solutions and “think outside the box”Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc.Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate peopleExcellent time management and project management skills as well as the ability to multi-taskExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality and the knowledge of industrial electrical systems and devices, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.Mechanical aptitude, knowledge and skills are key to this positions.
