Details:OverviewA fast growing engineering team is building fully electric boats from the ground up. The focus is on delivering vessels that are quieter faster cleaner and easier to maintain by applying first principles engineering from aerospace and EV development. The team is scaling and adding key technical roles as they expand their electric platform.RoleThe Electrical Hardware Engineer will join a small high impact group at the Los Angeles headquarters. This role works hands on across propulsion powertrain and onboard electrical systems and reports directly to the Lead Electrical Hardware Engineer.Core responsibilitiesLeading low-voltage mixed-signal hardware developmentDriving system trade studies requirements definition component selection analysis schematic capture PCB layout prototyping bring-up debugging and documentationCollaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical controls firmware software manufacturing test supply chain) to deliver high-performance reliable hardwareSupporting supply chain by evaluating and onboarding new contract manufacturers and ensuring smooth production bring-upTroubleshooting production build issues and close the feedback loop to improve design quality and manufacturabilityRemotely triage electrical faults perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to maintain high fleet uptimeValidating hardware performance in lab and on-boat environments Details: Basic qualificationsExperience with PCB schematic capture and layout (Altium preferred)Proficiency in analog and digital circuit designStrong grasp of core Electrical Engineering principlesHands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes probes multimeters and power suppliesProven ability to develop and troubleshoot hardwareBonus qualificationsFamiliarity with marine or automotive ISO/IEC standardsExperience with hardware-level implementation of protocols (CAN USB SPI IC LIN)Proficiency with CANbus and CAN toolsExposure to high-volume consumer hardware developmentProgramming experience in Python (openHTF) Linux or CExperience with audio amplifier touchscreen or computing hardware designExperience getting designs to pass FCC or other EMI/EMC compliance standardsAbility to clearly articulate and defend engineering decisionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management; comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAnnual Salary Level 1: $110000 Level 2: $135000 Level 3: $170000 Key Skills Arm,Electrical Engineering,SOC,System Design,Firmware,C/C++,PCB,Sensors,Fpga,Digital design,Assembly,Product Development Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
