Electrical Engineer III at Manpower Engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading organization in the energy and utility sector, is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer III, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting substation design and power systems projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to project management, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?
- Design and develop primary outdoor physical substation layouts, including single line diagrams, plans, and elevations.
- Perform detailed studies and analyses for high voltage substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Create detailed drawings for equipment erection, construction details, and layouts for high voltage bus, cable, conduit, and wiring.
- Apply North American standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC) to ensure safety, application, and integration of substation equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support renewable energy projects and utility power plant developments.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities, especially PG&E and renewable energy projects.
- Hands-on experience producing power single line drawings, substation plans, and layouts.
- Deep understanding of high voltage substation standards, local grid codes, and equipment specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE preferred).
- Professional Engineering license in the United States or a demonstrated plan to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
