Founded in 1867 the company today has around 22000 employees sales of 5.2 billion and locations in over 60 countries worldwide and is thus one of the larger family-owned companies in Europe.Voith Paper is hiring for:Electrical EngineerAppleton WIInterested to learn about Voith Check out our video Voith careers on YouTube.Reasons youll love working here:Flexibility with Work/Life BalanceCompetitive Compensation and Benefits Package401K with generous company matchClimate-Neutral Footprint WorldwideTuition reimbursementSummary:The Automation Engineer leads the design of automation and controls for paper machinery and related equipment based on as-sold specifications Voith standards industry guidelines previous designs and customer requests.Responsibilities:Use computer-aided design equipment and related software to design and control machines for the paper industry including electrical pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.Review product designs for compliance with sound engineering principles company standards and customer purchase order requirements and related technical and mill specifications.Develops and prepares drawings documentation part records bills of material and instruction manuals for orders.Coordinates engineering and other related order issues with both our customer externally and internally with our sales product management application engineering supply chain manufacturing and quality groups as required to maintain the order schedule and budget.Travels as required including project meetings installation assistance training start-up service and troubleshooting warranty and sub-supplier support.Performs automation/controls engineering design for reliability safety and cost including Risk Assessments.Evaluates and approves design changes specifications and documentation releases.Works with Product Management and Application Engineering in developing new product specifications standard quotes and cost estimates.Assists in developing new design standards and engineering processes.Assists in and supports the training of less experienced automation engineers.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar or equivalent working experienceExperience with Rockwell/AB programming.
