Our Approach.The Panel Quality Control Technician will be responsible for exceptional knowledge to interpret fabricate and wire electrical control panels according to electrical schematics / layout drawings. This position is focused on performing the quality control checkout / procedures to ensure a perfect quality electrical panel has been assembled while supporting the overall project schedule timeline. The position will also focus heavily on training and educating existing Panel Team Leads / Panel Technicians to perform their own quality control checkout work.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Exceptional knowledge and understanding of all applicable electrical codes / standards including but not limited to UL508A NEC NFPA79 SCCR ratingExceptional knowledge and understanding of wiring and operation of electrical components including but not limited to PLCs VFDs transformers power supplies safety relays control relays pilot devices pushbutton/selector switches circuit breakers fuses phase monitors contactors overload relays.Familiarity with a variety of manufacturers electrical componentsExceptional knowledge and understanding of electrical circuitry including but not limited to power distribution motor controls AC/DC high voltage AC/DC low voltage relay logic emergency stopProficient at interpreting electrical schematics / layout drawingsStrong troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systemsProficient at identifying electrical and mechanical design defects or poor workmanship.Maintain quality documentation files of completed proceduresStrictly adhere to quality control procedures and processes.Develop quality control standardized work procedures and processes for electrical panels.Teach and train existing panel technicians how to qualify their own electrical panel work safely.Communicate panel non-conformances with appropriate Panel Team Lead/Panel TechnicianAbility to lift 30 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.Must be able to stand for long periods of time bending twisting kneeling climbing laddersMust be able to perform all required tasks in a safe manner with solid electrical safety knowledge and experience.Must be able to perform all required tasks with minimal instruction and little supervision.QUALIFICATIONS:Two-year EE technical degree or equivalent work experience 7 years of custom panel building experienceExperience with:Multimeter resistance current and voltage testing; Hand tools; MS Office Excel Word PowerPointREQUIRED SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenThis role will start at $28.00 an hour.
