Job DescriptionJob DescriptionElectrical Quality Control (QC) Specialist, Federal ConstructionLocation: Norfolk, VA | Full-Time | OnsiteOverview:Butterfly Staffing is seeking a qualified Electrical QC Specialist to support an upcoming federal construction project in Norfolk, VA. This full-time, onsite position will oversee electrical scope quality compliance throughout the life of the project and report directly to the QC Manager.We're looking for an experienced electrical professional with at least 10 years in roles such as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager, and a strong background in electrical systems and federal QA/QC standards.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and inspect the electrical work performed on site to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirementsCoordinate with subcontractors, field supervisors, and the overall QC team to maintain quality across all electrical installationsReview electrical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and as-built documentationPerform inspections and testing of systems including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and grounding systemsMaintain accurate inspection reports, deficiency logs, and resolution trackingSupport the QC Manager in managing the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up) for electrical workEnsure all work meets safety, code, and regulatory standards in accordance with project specs and applicable NAVFAC/USACE guidelinesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field10+ years of electrical construction experience in one or more of the following roles:Project SuperintendentQC ManagerProject EngineerConstruction ManagerProven experience with government or military construction projects preferredFamiliarity with EM 385-1-1, NFPA, NEC codes, and USACE/NAVFAC QC protocolsCertifications:OSHA 30 Construction SafetyCQM-C for Contractors (USACE/NAVFAC)CPR / First AidDBIDS or the ability to obtain government base access
