Performs electrical repair maintenance, informing supervisor of problems and issues as they develop.Carries out electrical repair as provided.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.% FTE:1.0Hiring Range:$15.50 - $19.76Education:Some college or Associate degree (A.A.) and/or vocational or technical school and/or specialized training or certification.Required Licensing/Certification:Journeyman Trade License (Electrical).Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Policies, procedures, and practices.Requires some seasoning and experience beyond the entry level to conduct moderately complex work.Demonstrates general competence and growing knowledge and understanding of the overall function or discipline.Corrective complex electrical repair.MEP Systems.Safety guidelines.Skill in:Detail oriented.Problem-solving and decision-making.Multitasking and tie management.Operating equipment.Strong analytical.Troubleshoot.Both verbal and written communication.Ability to:Work independently.Work Experience:Three (3) years previous electrical repair experience, including one (1) year experience in plant operations.Working/Environmental Conditions:Reach and grasp objects.Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Moderate to heavy physical activity.Prolonged standing and/or walking.Work a fluctuating work schedule.UA EEO Statement:It is the policy of Texas Southern University to provide a work environment that is free from discrimination for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, individuals with disability, sexual orientation, or protected veteran status in its programs, activities, admissions or employment policies.
