DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Field Test Technician (NETA Level II or NICET Equivalent)Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire Power Up Your Career with ABM Electrical Power ServicesABM Industries is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Electrical Field Test Technician (NETA Level II or NICET Equivalent) to join our growing Electrical Power Services team. If youre looking to take the next step in your career with a NETA-accredited company known for quality safety and professional growth this is your opportunity.In this role youll work both independently and as part of a crew testing troubleshooting and commissioning electrical power systems ranging from low to high voltage. Youll also have the opportunity to gain leadership experience and mentor junior technicians all while working on critical power infrastructure projects. What Youll DoTravel to client sites to inspect test troubleshoot and start-up power distribution systemsPerform acceptance and maintenance testing on switchgear transformers relays breakers and cablesCollaborate with senior technicians to complete complex projectsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to Level I trainees and assistantsConduct relay calibration IR scanning and power meteringUse advanced testing equipment including Megger Omicron and Enoserv RTSInterpret test results and assist in preparing comprehensive field reportsComplete Job Hazard Analyses and ensure safety protocols are followedRotate into on-call duty for emergency response and service needsSupport the technical sales process with insights from the field What Were Looking ForMinimum Requirements:2 years of experience in electrical testing or related fieldworkCurrent NETA Level II certification or NICET equivalentStrong understanding of electrical power systems and safety proceduresExperience with testing equipment and methods for low medium and high voltage systemsFamiliar with NETA ATS/MTS standards and NFPA70EAbility to work both independently and with a teamWillingness to travel up to 25% for regional and national projectsClean driving recordPreferred Qualifications:Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or related fieldFamiliarity with generator controls protection systems and relay testing (SEL 700G or similar)Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsStrong communication and organizational skills Why ABMCompetitive Compensation: Earn top hourly rates with overtime opportunitiesCareer Development: Step into a clear path toward NETA Level III certification and leadership rolesComprehensive Benefits: Health dental vision 401(k) PTO and moreTeam Culture: Be part of a trusted team that values safety expertise and growth Take charge of your future and join the professionals who keep the world running.
