Job DescriptionJob Description2nd Shift Electrician – Industrial Manufacturing (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) Location: Buffalo, NY (On-Site)Schedule: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM to Midnight, Monday–FridayEmployment Type: Full-Time | Overtime Available Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Electrician to support our industrial manufacturing operations. The Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, lighting, motors, controls, and equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong industrial electrical experience who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently on 2nd shift. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a 2nd Shift Electrician, you will:Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, circuits, motors, panels, and componentsDiagnose electrical issues using multimeters, testing tools, and electrical schematicsPerform preventive maintenance, electrical inspections, and equipment calibrationRead and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsTest electrical systems to ensure proper function and safety complianceDocument repairs, maintenance logs, inspections, and service informationMaintain inventory of electrical parts, supplies, and materialsEnsure all work meets electrical codes, safety standards, and company requirementsTroubleshoot and repair equipment issues quickly to reduce downtimeSupport production equipment, lighting, controls, power distribution, and facility electrical systemsPerform overtime as needed to support production demands Required QualificationsCompletion of an Electrician Apprenticeship Program (required)Technical or trade school training in Electrical Technology (preferred)3–5 years of electrician experience — industrial or manufacturing environment highly preferredStrong working knowledge of electrical theory, NEC codes, wiring methods, and electrical safetyAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and ladder logic basicsSkilled in using electrical hand tools and power toolsAbility to lift 50 lbs and perform bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heightsValid driver’s licenseWillingness to work overtime as required Preferred ExperienceIndustrial electrician or maintenance electrician experienceExperience with motors, VFDs, control panels, electrical enclosures, conduit bending, PLC basicsElectrical experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial facilitiesPreventative maintenance program experienceLow voltage and high voltage experience Why Apply?Steady 2nd shift schedule (3:30 PM – Midnight)Competitive pay + shift differentialOvertime opportunitiesGrowing industrial manufacturing environmentAdvancement opportunities into Maintenance, Controls, or Facilities roles GTI Fabrication is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
