Electro Mechanic at Sonoco Protective Solutions, Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our Production equipment and supporting on site systems. This hands-on role is vital to keeping production running efficiently so we can deliver high-quality packaging on time to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and supporting production machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Ensure auxiliary equipment (chillers, compressors, HVAC, etc.) remains fully operational.

• Work with lead process technicians to schedule and execute planned downtime for maintenance.

• Maintain safety guarding and ensure all equipment meets safety standards.

• Use machine shop equipment (mill, grinders, welder, band saws) to fabricate or repair parts as needed.

• Accurately document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing or packaging preferred)

• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment

Preferred:

• Experience with machine shop equipment (mill, grinder, welder, band saw)

• CMMS experience

• Trade school or technical certification in industrial maintenance

• 5S and Lean packaging experience

Compensation

This is a progression level role (1-3) The hourly rate will range from $30.10 - $39.97 DOE.
