Description: Mechanical Assembler Start Date ASAP Duration: 54 days with ability for permanent The Mechanical Assembler is 19.00/hour Remote/OnSite: onsite Hours of the Shift : 1st shift--6:00 am to 14:30 pm Please use EWS as the contracting company. Can we make sure we inform the contracting firm to send candidates with previous mechanical assembly experience A headshot will be needed for PKI card prior to starting along with shirt and pant size for uniform NTERVIEWS--Long pants (must be down to the ankle) shirt (must cover the waste line and no additional cut outs over the arms or shoulders) and safety shoes if they have them. If you have pants but only went to just below the knee you will not be able to enter the facility. When offered the position shirt and pants size needed for uniform and headshot needed for PKI card. We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler- 2nd shift (3:00p - 11:30p). This position will be based in Wendell NC. As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building assembling and wiring of Medium and Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as LV Motor Control Centers MV breakers MV switchgear and Motor Control Centers DC Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Solar Inverters. Roles & Responsibilities Assembly and wire LV MCC breakers structures sub-assemblies parts kits and aftermarket parts orders Perform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components control wiring power cable work and interconnection of control wires Record appropriate job record transactions Read BOM follow layouts & assembly drawings Perform some basic wiring per given instructions when requested Set and correct use of Torque wrenches Adhere to developed processes methods and/or seek ways to improve Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management Youll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally Communicate in English (read write & speak fluently) Must have a proven record in Quality and Productivity Must be a strong team player Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
