JOB TITLE: Electromechanical Technician - DEFENSE LOCATION: Orlando FL PAY RATE: $26-31.73/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Clearance: Ability to obtain a security clearance Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Perform electronic mechanical and electromechanical tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive manufacturing of cables prototypes and production assemblies Repair field and lab assets Support engineering with initial builds Work from schematics engineering drawings models and written or verbal instructions Operate related equipment conduct tests and document results in prescribed formats Perform calibration checks make adjustments modifications and replacements as directed Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions Modify/repair test equipment and prototypes according to drawings specifications or engineering guidance Perform all duties safely and in compliance with regulations Report issues that could impact business operations Requirements: Ability to obtain a security clearance High School Diploma or GED Experience with cable harness assembly Knowledge of ESD practices Familiarity with IPC standards: IPC-A-610 IPC-J-STD IPC-WHMA-A-620 Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to identify and flag issues in engineering drawings Experience with electronic assembly and electrical testing 2-4 years Team Player (soft skill) 2-4 years Ability to read engineering drawings 2-4 years Cable harness assembly 2-4 years ESD practices 2-4 years IPC-A-610 2-4 years IPC-J-STD 2-4 years IPC-WHMA-A-620 2-4 years Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
