We are constantly studying and evaluating our benefits programs and policies to better meet present and future requirements.SummaryThe Electronics Technician II performs production manufacturing task building and installing electrical wire bundles wire stripping connector terminations and soldering on aircraft electrical systems.Position ResponsibilitiesResponsible for manufacturing testing inspection and repair of electrical systems and componentsManufactures and repairs aircraft wiring and wiring harnessesPerforms operational checkout of aircraft electrical systems; Performs inspections as requiredPerforms in-progress and follow-up inspections during and upon completion of installationsSoldering of electrical and avionics componentsTroubleshoot aircraft systems discrepanciesOperates and maintains tools in a safe and serviceable conditionHelps build prototypes for initial designs and low volume builds that are not yet released into productionField testing/Flight testing may be required so some travel may be necessaryAssists other mechanics/technicians as requiredWorks on assignments that are semi-routine in nature following established procedures on workOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredMinimum of 1 2 years of experience of recent hands-on electrical wire bundle manufacturingExperienced with electrical schematics requiredExperienced in translating an engineered design into build instructions which can be used by assembly and test personnel to duplicate the required product performanceExperienced in and knowledge of how to use wire stripper and crimping hand tools specialty tools and testing equipmentDemonstrated familiarity with electronics including hands-on experience with analog and digital hardwareDemonstrated knowledge of aircraft electrical systems requiredExperienced and skilled in wiring and soldering is requiredStrong computer skills and proficiency in MS OfficeExperienced in and knowledgeable of aircraft manufacturing safety proceduresExperienced in interpreting and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings and schematicsMust successfully pass a background check and drug test; Must have a Valid Drivers license with a clean driving recordAbility and willingness to work overtime and some weekendsOther Qualifications & Desired CompetenciesThe equivalent of a 2 - 4 year advanced studies beyond High School with emphasis in electronics soldering or equivalent job related training in an R&D environment is preferredCertificate from a trade/technical school preferredIPC610 J-STD-001 Soldering certification is highly desirablePrior experience in an aircraft manufacturing or Aerospace R&D environment is preferredProven experience with basic analog and digital circuit troubleshooting and repair desiredExperience with prototype design and development of electronic systems- including avionics and/or controls highly desiredProven experience with overall aircraft electronic fabrication desired;
