Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Electronics TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our team as a bench technician in a production environment dedicated to manufacturing state-of-the-art Side Scan Sonar equipment. The role involves building new units from base boards, tuning these units, and performing factory acceptance testing. If issues arise, you will troubleshoot to the component level to find and resolve the problem.ResponsibilitiesUse oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and various electronic test equipment to analyze functions of analog and digital circuits.Test, troubleshoot, and repair mixed circuit PCB designs to the component level.Assemble and wire electronics enclosures.Design and fabricate specialized test devices for Research and Development or production purposes.Demonstrate the ability and attitude to work in a small company environment supporting Research and Development and Production efforts.Essential SkillsProficiency in soldering is a must.3+ years of experience in electronics or a related field.Thorough understanding of analog and digital electronic circuit theory.Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics diagrams and engineering drawings.Experience working with through-hole and surface mount components as small as 0402 size and .5mm pitch.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in radio or radar systems is a significant plus.Experience with Sonar, Radar, or Communications Radio systems is advantageous.Why Work Here?Be part of a smaller, dynamic company located in Yorktown, where our sonar devices are utilized by the military, coast guard, and treasure hunters alike.
