Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn a single-configuration heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit geostationary transfer orbit cislunarand first stage is fully reusable and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Special Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 10% of the timeInterviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Investigates equipment and product failures to identify root cause and recommend corrective actionsSpecifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specificationsDesigns develops and tests Battery Management System (BMS) hardware for Li-ion batteriesDesign and test other analog/digital devices components such as inverters battery chargers DC-DC converts and protection circuitryPerform electrical analyses circuit simulation component sizing and selection create electrical schematics and PCB layoutsDevelop battery requirements based on spacecraft system needs in collaboration with Systems EngineersMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related field with a strong track record in electronics and embedded systemsDirect experience with production support and product/equipment RCCADirect hands-on experience developing complex commercial or aerospace electronic assemblies designing custom cards and/or integrating COTS hardwareExperience with board-level development including PCB design prototyping and debugging as well as familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and electrical test equipment (e.g. multi-meters oscilloscopes power supplies network analyzers spectrum analyzer RF signal simulators etc.)Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
