Classroom Teacher Aide Longfellow Elementary at Mitchell School District 17-2

Position: Classroom Teacher Aide Location: Longfellow Elementary Reports To: Classroom Teacher & Building Principal Status: 7 hours daily at $16/hr.Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Classroom Teacher Aide to support instructional activities classroom management and day-to-day operations within the classroom. The ideal candidate is dependable caring and able to work collaboratively with the lead teacher to create a positive learning environment for all students.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport classroom instruction by working with small groups of students to reinforce academic skills.Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need help staying engaged following directions or completing tasks.Prepare organize and maintain instructional materials including copying laminating cutting and assembling items as needed.Assist the teacher with classroom management helping maintain a safe respectful and well-structured learning environment.Supervise students during recess lunch hallway transitions arrival and dismissal.Support students who require accommodations or modifications including the use of assistive technology or adapted materials.Set up and clean up activities learning stations and classroom projects.Help maintain classroom organization supplies and bulletin boards.Communicate relevant student observations to the teacher to support planning and interventions.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience working with children preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Patience flexibility and a positive attitude.Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies.
