Elementary Recess Lead and Classroom Aide Part Time at La Scuola International School

La Scuola International seeks an  Elementary Recess Lead and Classroom Aide - Part TIme to assist with supervision and support on the play yard and on campus  Applicants must be collaborative proactive and flexible. Solutions-oriented thinkers strong communicators and curious learners will thrive in La Scuolas diverse and dynamic environment. The individual will support and implement the daily program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the School under the supervision and direction of the Director of Auxiliary Programs.Role & Responsibilities include but are not limited toDaily presence to supervise and support K-8 students during recess lunch and other breaks throughout the school day. Ensure alignment with school practices and policies holding other faculty and staff accountable for punctual arrival and attention to supervision and protocol.Collaborate with the Student Support Team (Lower School Head Dean of Students Social Emotional Specialist and Learning Specialist) to implement engaging outdoor play experiences and uphold recess expectations for the studentsSupport with creating introducing and posting outdoor visuals to promote safe joyful and creative play.Communicate routinely with classroom teachers and specialists with any observations questions or concerns about students.meetings as needed throughout the school year in collaboration with teachers to ensure students understand expectations and know their role in safe outdoor play and interaction.Lead students through established conflict resolution practices as needed and set up outdoor environment to reflect practices.Participate in other supervision roles such as lunch duty PE support or other classroom support.Collaborate with the Student Support Team to research recommend obtain and maintain outdoor recess materials.Participate in scheduled events such as: Back to School Night Spring Curriculum night. professional development days and other events as appropriate.Communicate with front office and complete comunicazione alla famiglia forms in any incidence of a physical injury on the play yard.Communicate with the front office student support team and classroom teachers if there are any instances of heightened verbal or physical conflict.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications : Minimum QualificationsNative-like fluency in English requiredItalian language proficiency preferredEnthusiastic child-oriented and creative individuals with a desire to work in a bilingual environmentProblem-solving creativity multitasking skillsExcellent attendance and punctuality recordsExperience with IB a plusRequired Skills Knowledge & AbilitiesEnthusiastic child-oriented and creative individuals with a desire to work in a bilingual environment;Strong time management skills including consistent attendance punctuality ability to meet deadlines and participation in school life; Ability to be open-minded creative and curious learning in relationship with colleagues and students alike; outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;Ability to foster strong relationships with all community members including parents educators students and beyond; Ability to work well in a team and in a very collegial and collaborative environment;Ability to find joy in working with all children and finds ways to differentiate learning and connect across learner profiles; Dedication to being an active enthusiastic member of the La Scuola community contributing collaboratively within an internationally diverse team and learning environment; Passion for the schools mission and values in addition to the curricular focus;Commitment to diversity equity inclusion and belonging in our community.Additional Information : Start date:  December 8 2025Salary:  $22 - $30 per hour commensurate with experience and credentials.How to Apply: Refer to the Employment Opportunities within and apply online.
