Classification Title:Emergency Management CoordClassification Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.Job Description:Development and implementation of an integrated preparedness plan establishing multiyear training exercise and planning priorities for the universitys Emergency Operations Team (EOT) as well as stakeholders within departments and colleges.Enhance and sustain the readiness capabilities of the department and University Emergency Operations Center (EOC).Collaborate with internal and external UF Alert stakeholders to address program coordination performance evaluation system testing outreach efforts and user training.Support the Building Emergency Coordinator (BEC) program through education training and program improvements.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or other appropriate administrator.NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 80 hours biweekly.Subject to call-back and/or extended hours depending upon emergency needs of the university.A criminal background will be conducted.Expected Salary:$60000.00 to $65000.00 Annually based on experience.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.Preferred:Proficiency in emergency planning and plan execution with specific expertise in physical and human resource planning and coordination and the development of training and communication programs.Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and to develop effective and constructive working relationships with a wide variety of people including all levels of management.Superior ability to complete projects from conception through execution.Experience in development and implementation of a successful education and communications program in a variety of media.Excellent verbal skills and ease in giving presentations to all types of audiences.Strong writing editing and project management skills.Ability to work under pressure exercising good judgment independently and as part of a team.Ability to recognize and adapt to changing conditions with a strong tolerance for ambiguity.Expertise in use of the Microsoft Office Suite in a Windows-based environment.National or Florida Professional Emergency Management certification (IAEM CEM and/or FEPA FPEM) is preferred.One or more of Master Exercise Practitioner Program (MEPP) Planning Practitioner Program (PPP) or National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMA) successful completion preferred but not required.Special Instructions to Applicants:In order to be considered you must upload your cover letter and resume.Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.Health Assessment Required:No Key Skills EMR Systems,Occupational Health Experience,Basic Life Support,Primary Care Experience,Suturing,Computer Literacy,Pharmacy Residency,Spinal Tap Experience,Nursing,Gastric Lavage,Epic,Addiction Counseling Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary Salary: 60000 - 65000
