Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) PRNIndiana Packers Corporation Delphi IndianaIndiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician EMT to respond to emergencies and provide treatment to employees who have been injured or become ill due to work-related or personal causes. This position will work with workers compensation claims and investigations. The EMT will also collaborate closely with other departments to ensure adherence to medical and safety protocols. The schedule for this PRN position would require picking up at least 4 days a month and at least 1 Saturday a month. This position does not have set hours and would be available to work for staff on vacation/PTO or sick days. Benefits and Pay:This position has No Benefits. Starting pay for the EMT position will vary based on prior experience.Responsibilities:Provide preventative and emergency medical care to injured or ill personsEnsure personal well-beingManage workers compensation claimsUnderstand basic medical / legal principlesPrepare documentation and reports and maintains recordsComplete probable cause or post-accident assessment of employeeEnsure OSHA Workers Compensation and other medically necessary complianceFunction within the scope of medical care as defined protocol and state regional and local regulatory agenciesMaintain confidential informationAssist with incident investigations and required documentationPerform other duties as needed or requiredLead emergency medical team when called to the production floor or other facility areasPerform other duties as needed or required To be successful in this job an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
