Emergency Medicine physician job in Florida : EM residency training only requirement
BC/BE ABEM/AOBEM
Ability to obtain/maintain medical license in Florida
ACLS, PALS (not currently req. if boarded)

Job Description:
EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN - FLORIDA
COMMUNITY
Jacksonville and suburbs offer year round outdoor golf and beach activities for the whole family. Excellent private or public schools. NFL + nearby Division 1 NCAA sports. No state income tax.

OVERVIEW
Due to growth and expansion, Emergency Med group adding physicians
Rotate between 2 community sites with annual volumes 20k-65k
Main ED of 30-50 beds, Freestanding 16-25 beds
Avg patients/hr expected 1.5 -2 pph
Epic EMR w/ PACS, Dragon & AI scribe
Coverage model 70% physician/ 30% APC
Supported by HUC (unit secretary), Tech (splints/IV)
Specialists @Hospitals: Surgical Specialists, Anesthesia, OBGYN) **some IR
Main site has Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, EP, Ophthalmology

ROLE
9 or 10-hour shifts; Some 12-hour shifts.
Independent Contractor Model
Most physicians average 120-160hrs/month
Weekend / holiday/ night participation expected
Procedures expected: endotracheal intubation -direct & video laryngoscopy, cricothyroidotomy, chest tube placement, central lines, IO placement, pericardiocentesis, needle thoracotomy, vaginal deliveries, laceration repairs, I&D, FB removal, full eye exam, POCUS/FAST exam, procedural sedation
Productivity expectations: 1.6 -2.6 pph
Supervision model: strong physician oversight of APCs

1099 PACKAGE
'$240/hr AM, $250/hr Mid, $270/hr Night + Bonus
'Earn up to $320 per hr
'Productivity RVU bonus' paid quarterly
'Sign-on bonus
'Malpractice with Tail Coverage

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
