JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: May 1, 2025 Location: Laredo, Texas Service Setting: Emergency Room (ER) Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Requirements: 4 Full-Time providers needed PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Annual Volume: Facility I: 48,000, Facility II: 10,000 Patients Per Day: Facility I: 131, Facility II: 27 Trauma Level: III FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup Available: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, GI, OB, Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ortho, Surgery, Cath Lab ED Beds: Facility I 38 SHIFT INFORMATION Physician Shifts: Facility I : TBD, Facility II: 6 AM 6 PM, 6 PM 6 AM REQUIREMENTS Certification Requirements: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM), OR Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM) with 4,000 hours of Emergency Medicine experience ATLS, ACLS, PALS State License Requirement: Active Texas License Credentialing Timeline: 60 days Expedited Privileges Available: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Hourly Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging and Malpractice included DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high-quality Emergency Medical care in a fast-paced ER setting. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed. Collaborate with specialty backup teams and support staff. Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
