Emergency Medicine physician job in Alabama : Join our high-performing team at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama, as the emergency medicine assistant medical director. Qualifications and Leadership Duties
  • Leadership experience strongly preferred
  • ABEM/AOBEM: board certified or board eligible 
  • Support the facility medical director in overseeing ED operations and clinical performance
  • Provide guidance to the team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care
  • Monitor patient outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives that enhance care, quality and efficiency
  • Champion safety and best practices throughout the emergency department

Opportunity Overview
  • ED Volume: approximately 30k annual visits
  • Shift Structure: 8- to 10-hour physician shifts
  • Coverage: robust physician + APC coverage daily
  • Support: strong nursing staff and ancillary staff
  • EPIC EMR for smooth documentation and workflow
