Emergency Medicine physician job in Florida : AdventHealth Minneola, a cornerstone of the AdventHealth system, is seeking a dynamic and experienced facility medical director to lead our emergency medicine team. Located in beautiful Minneola, Florida, this role offers the unique opportunity to guide a high-performing emergency department team in a world-class, mission-driven healthcare environment.
AdventHealth Minneola opened December 2025. This is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility with more than 200,000 square feet providing exceptional care to South Lake County, Florida. This modern establishment will push the boundaries of excellence, focusing on the delivery of outstanding patient care.
As the FMD, you will be responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of the ED, ensuring high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with AdventHealth's values and goals.

Position Highlights:

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of emergency physicians and advanced practice clinicians
- Oversee clinical performance, quality metrics, and patient experience initiatives
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure optimal ED operations and integration with hospital services
- Drive innovation, efficiency, and best practices in emergency medicine delivery
- Serve as a mentor and role model for clinical staff and promote a culture of excellence and compassion
Qualifications
- Board certified in EM (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical leadership experience in an ED
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, performance improvement, and strategic planning
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
