The Suffolk Countys Bureau of Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) within the Health Departments Division of Public Health is seeking to fill the position of Emergency Preparedness Officer.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES::Develop plans and conduct drills to ensure that Suffolk County is prepared to respond to a variety of public health emergencies. Supports the mission through management of the Departments emergency preparedness assets attending planning meetings with local and state agencies and assisting with composition / revision of emergency plans and the conduction of drills. The appointment to the position is then made from among the three highest scoring passing candidates who indicate their willingness to accept the position.
