With worldwide distributor network our products are the first choice for everyone from landscape professionals to the US Military.We are seeking Truck Upfit Technicians to join our growing team!Job Summary: Responsible for meeting customer needs by:Layout wiring and mounting of custom truck bodies on trucksSetting up and operating machines that will cut bend saw punch steel into custom parts needed for body mountingCompleting mechanics work such as working with hydraulics and mounting PTO (power take offs) and pumpsMaintaining a clean work environmentOther duties as assignedTools Used:Overhead chain hoists forklift trucks handcarts all types of hand/air toolsbusiness operating system etc.Safety Equipment:Safety glasses steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards ear plugs glovesaprons safety props grinding shields welding sleeves etc.Environment:Heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to grease oil heathumidity occasionally cramped quarters and possibly wet conditionsJob Requirements:1. Must know basic math to set up and operate machines accurately measure and problem solve.2. Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertionincluding but not limited to lifting carrying pushing pulling and bending. Using the overhead hoistsrequires ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.3. Ability to stand and work on concrete for several hours at a time. Ability to work in a variety of positions including kneeling crouching bending twisting turning and climbing.4. Ability to read job specifications to determine material layouts machine adjustments complicated instructions blueprints and measuring devices. Ability to perform basic computer data entry.5. Basic understanding of hydraulics PTO frames pumps electrical controls and wiring.6. Able to work in a team environment to identify and determine effective counter measures attend and participate in required company meetings.7. Ability to attain and maintain production efficiencies and quality standards.8. Must work in a safe manner including following safety procedures including wearing personal protection equipment noted above completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.9. Must be a team player that works with other departments or facilities to meet company goals.10. Must be detail orientated energetic and goal driven.11.
