JOB DESCRIPTION

An established emergency and urgent care hospital in Loomis is looking for an Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing team. This is a strong opportunity for a clinician who enjoys fast-paced medicine, varied caseloads, and being supported by a highly capable nursing team.

You will be working in an environment where decision-making is trusted, teamwork is strong, and the focus is on delivering high-quality emergency care without unnecessary friction.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Up to $200,000 salary depending on experience
  • Dedicated emergency caseload with strong case variety
  • 4:1 support staff ratio ensuring you are well assisted on shift
  • Flexible rota designed to support recovery time
  • No Sundays
  • Well-equipped hospital for diagnostics and critical care
  • Experienced nursing team used to supporting emergency workflows
  • Collaborative and supportive clinical environment

The Practice

This is a modern, well-run emergency facility that handles a steady and diverse caseload. The team is used to working at pace but maintains a calm, supportive approach to patient care.

You will see a broad mix of emergency and urgent presentations, giving you exposure to both critical and high-acuity cases without being left unsupported.

What They're Looking For

  • DVM or equivalent eligible to practice in California
  • Confidence working in emergency or urgent care settings
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills
  • Team-focused approach with good communication
  • Experience preferred, but capable clinicians looking to move into ER will be considered

Why Loomis?

Loomis offers a quieter, more relaxed Northern California lifestyle while still being close to Sacramento and wider regional amenities. It suits vets who want a strong clinical role without big-city intensity outside of work.
