Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Mateo, CA. As an Emergency Veterinarian at Lenity Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Care, you will provide urgent and emergency medical treatment to a diverse range of animal patients. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, conducting medical procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining clear communication with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing care recommendations. You will also contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and a supportive team environment.


Qualifications

  • Strong diagnostic, and clinical skills, with a focus on emergency veterinary medicine
  • Excellent communication and client education skills to collaborate effectively with pet owners and team members
  • Ability to make urgent and sound medical decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to address multiple cases efficiently
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and valid veterinary license to practice in California
  • Experience in an emergency or critical care setting is highly preferred
  • Commitment to animal welfare and continuous professional development
