SummaryThis recruitment will be used to fill one (1) Term-Limited Temporary/Special Duty position. The duration of the assignment is anticipated to be 12 months.The Career and Culture Division (CCD) within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an innovative and visionary Employee Experience Project Manager (Project/Program Manager III) to join the Employee Experience team. Reporting to the Employee Experience Program Manager the Employee Experience Project Manager will support the execution of Employee Experience initiatives across King County. This individual will support the planning deployment and communications related to employee surveys as well as provide support and consultation to key collaborators as needed.As a collaborative partner you will work closely with CCD leaders Employee Experience Champions and leaders throughout the county organization to support the development and deployment of employee experience strategies including the annual employee engagement survey. From developing and delivering employee engagement training leading employee engagement action planning and consulting with managers and teams across the organization youll be part of a team cultivating a King County workplace where all employees have the opportunity to thrive.Job DutiesApplying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all King County this role you will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values behaviors and practices to all aspects of the work. As theEmployee Experience Project Manageryou will: Advance the organizations understanding of employee engagement its impact on business outcomes key performance indicators and the countys ability to meet customer needs internally and externally.Proactively plan for the full cycle of multiple projects anticipating deadlines and resource needs setting priorities refining solutions and continuously improving processes tools and deliverables.Collaborate in the development of employee experience projects including large-scale surveys.Develop promote and provide training on a variety of employee experience projects and initiatives including engagement action planning. This includes developing content and scripts for facilitator led workshops and recorded trainings and developing and maintaining resources and tools to support learning.Facilitate in-person remote and hybrid meetings including but not limited to employee engagement champions meetings and service request intake meetings.In partnership with others design and execute communication and change management strategies to support successful rollouts of new employe experience projects and initiatives.Develop and maintain communication tools templates and messaging to support engagement projects Develop toolkits guidance documents and other resources including technical instructions for preparation and use of large data sets for use by engagement champions leaders and departmental staff.Lead or contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency.Use HR data and analytics to identify trends measure program effectiveness and provide actionable insights for decision-making.Build positive relationships with partners and collaborators within the department and across the enterprise representing the employee experience team and its initiatives.Use a variety of technologies and platforms to support daily operations including the MS Office Suite SharePoint Teams and Canva. Manage large sets of highly sensitive data utilizing queries to pull data based on various conditions and clean data for survey participant loading.Perform other job duties as assigned.Experience Qualifications Knowledge SkillsThe successful candidate will be:An agile learner with a growth mindset comfortable navigating between analytical strategic and creative thinking. Able to distill complex or high-volume information into clear relevant key points for the audience.Capable of developing enterprise-wide communication strategies and creating tools and products to support effective implementation.Skilled in project planning including developing and tracking KPIs.Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of information and document transparently in a way that allows for easy knowledge sharing.Able to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to evolving needs.Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity.Able to work as part of a highly collaborative hybrid team that maintains a high degree of transparency on work.Skilled at achieving results through influence even without formal supervisory authority.Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds roles and organizational levelsincluding leadership internal teams and external partnerswhile fostering collaboration and mutual success.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word Teams (full calendar functionality) Outlook MS Planner PowerPoint and SharePoint to manage projects daily work and strategic initiatives.Comfortable working with large Excel spreadsheets to organize sort and filter information and data.Experienced in using visual management tools such as MS Planner to track and communicate work. Knowledgeable in change management practices.Desired SkillsKnowledge and understanding of King County and its initiatives and priorities with the ability to apply them effectively to projects and programs.Skilled in using Qualtrics to design administer and analyze surveys is highly desirable.Proficiency in using Canva to create visual materials and communications products.Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and tools.Skilled in managing change and applying change-management principles and practices to enterprise-scaled projects.Previous experience in a highly unionized government environment.Supplemental InformationWork ScheduleThis position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime-eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule every other Thursday comprising a 40-hour workweek normally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
