JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Partner for its Labor & Employment practice group in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers a leadership opportunity for an attorney with a robust background in labor and employment defense litigation. The candidate should possess strategic litigation experience, leadership skills, and a dedication to client service. Portable business is considered but not required.

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of labor and employment defense litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Manage and supervise attorneys and legal staff within a collaborative team environment.
  • Defend employers in employment matters, including wage and hour disputes, single-plaintiff and class actions, and discrimination claims.
  • Conduct and oversee court appearances in Federal and State courts.
  • Represent clients in investigations and proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor, EEOC, and state and local agencies.
  • Provide strategic counseling and risk management advice on employment-related matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to practice group growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of employment litigation defense experience.
  • Significant experience with wage and hour matters and employment class actions.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and management experience.
  • Strong litigation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex employment matters in Federal and State courts.
  • Admission to practice in California required.
  • Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

Admission to the California State Bar.
